Another goal another win (2009-10)
After 40 years of waiting and hoping it has finally happened. Promotion was for so long a taboo word for Dale fans, but from relatively early on in the season, it was a word on the tip of even the most hardy of supporters tongues. Keith Hill and David Flitcroft have achieved what no other management team had previously succeeded in doing. Seeing out a full season in the job and crowning it with promotion. When the dust settles, it will soon become clear that should Rochdale still be in League One at the end of the 2010-11 season, it will be an even greater achievement. Hopefully Hillcroft will get the support they deserve and the Rochdale public turn out in greater numbers to further the “wonderous journey“.
